My husband and I were going to London for our first year anniversary, in 2005 and with a new home, 2 fish, a ferret named Joe and a rabbit named Snookums, we didn't know how we were going to go and have a good time with no one in Arizona to take over our "farm". A friend recommended The Affordable House Sitter, and from the moment I met her, I was impressed. She came over for a consultation and answered all of my questions, she had contracts on hand so we signed, gave the keys, and paid, all in one night! When we got home, there was a happy note on the counter, the animals were all happy, healthy and clean, and our house was safe! She brought in the newspaper, watered my plants, and we ordered the expanded service, so she also cleaned my counters and did some cleaning too. It was nice to come home to a clean house, all I had to do was unpack and reminisce!! We are planning a trip in August 2007, and yep, she is already on the to-do list!!

My wife and I are only in Arizona for the winter months, and then we go back home to North Dakota for the summer. Our friends here in the mobile park all go home too, so we have no one to just tend to the place occasionally, you know, check for weeds, pick up letters off the door, check the house for security, appliance issues, and keep an eye on things. We have been very happy with this gal, she does a great job, she is pretty cheap, and believe me, I looked everywhere for the right price, and she was it! She is honest, reliable, and I don't worry about a thing for those 4 months that we are gone!

 What a relief  

I am a single mom of 3 boys, I hardly ever go anywhere, but when there was a chance for me to go to a women's retreat for church, I really wanted to go. I was able to find care for my sons, easy, but for the apartment, I had nobody to take care of things. I have a guinea pig who needed fed twice a day, a few plants and I was expecting a package the day I was to leave. My family was already tending to the kids, so I didn't want them to drive to my house twice a day to take care of that stuff too. I started to ask around at church, and someone in my singles class had used Andrea when she went on vacation. I called her and she came out for free, we went over what I wanted, which was important to me, I felt listened to. She was reasonably priced, she took care of the lil' pig :) and my package was on the counter! Thanks again for the good work!

I am always on the go, thanks to my career, and this service has been a real lifesaver for me when I am in a hurry, distressed over flights, hotel reservations, meetings, etc. I know that I have nothing to worry about on the “home front”, because my sitter has it all covered. She has been very reliable, has put up with me booking her last minute, willing to pick up my keys at odd hours, and she always has a smile. I suggest that if you travel, whether it be for a living, or for pleasure, consider what it will be like to leave your house and know that you have a “fairy godmother” taking care of everything! There are no worries, your furry friends, your plants, your mail, everything is handled for you. What a relief!
